Turn For Love

For a third engagement at the Orientale Festival, the renowned Iranian choreographer, Banafsheh Sayyad joins with the extraordinary ZARBANG featuring Pejman Hadadi, Javid Afsari, Behnam Samani and Reza Samani. Their world premiere concert, TURN FOR LOVE celebrates Rumi's message of universal tolerance, love and understanding. Fusing elements of Persian Sufi dance and music with modern improvisational elements, the group presents a new way to evoke ancient metaphysical ideas and practices in a contemporary language. Banafsheh's choreography is a corporeal echo of ZARBANG's exuberant yet meditative music, a collaboration, the Vancouver Sun calls "both entertaining and revolutionary!"
